Administrative services are provided at the Clay City Hall. The office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The phone number is 205-680-1223. This office will help with public document requests, meeting agendas, permits, accounts payable, business license, meeting minutes and accounts receivable.
Public notices are posted inside City Hall, the Clay Post Office, Senior Activity Center and Regions Bank in Chalkville.
Staff:
Andrea Self is an administrative assistant, helping with public works requests, business licenses and permits.
Bobby Christmas is the Clay City Clerk.
Susan Nelson oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Mayor Ed McGuffie can be found at City Hall most of the time during business hours.
The former Clay Elementary building received new life when it became Clay City Hall. The mural shows the natural features residents treasure, the rivers and the small mountains that provide beautiful views.
